Arthur C. Lott, age 90, passed away on June 17, 2012 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an illness. Arthur was born on June 4, 1922 in Scipio, Oklahoma to the home of James and Rosa Lee (Shelton) Lott. He was reared in Deming and Santa Rosa. Arthur served in the United States Army during WWII. He was awarded the European, African, Middle Eastern, Bronze Arrowhead, Good Conduct and Victory medals. He worked as a Section Foreman for the Southern Pacific Railroad for many years until his retirement. Arthur was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he sang in the Choir. He enjoyed looking for arrowheads and hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Joseph Lott and the mother of his children, Mary Lou Lott. Survivors include his sons, John Lott and wife Julie of Rio Rancho and their children, Joshua and wife Rebecca, Rebekah, Rachel and Connor and great granddaughter, Natalie. His other son Robert Lott and wife Taunya of Corpus Christi, TX and their children, Jason, Steven Jessie and Robby Jonathan and great grandchildren, Lianna and Serenity. Cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 23, at 11:00 AM from the Evergreen Cemetery in Santa Rosa with Mr. Ernest Copeland officiating. All services for Mr. Lott have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
