E. Dale Smith

Eugene Dale Smith, 76, passed away on December 20, 2011 at Mt. View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Evergreen Cemetery in Santa Rosa, NM. Dale was born in Gorman, Texas on November 11, 1935, the son of Andrew William Smith and Jimmie Lea Woodard Smith. Dale attended the Santa Rosa, NM schools, the University of NM and New Mexico Highlands University. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vicki Smith of Mimbres, NM his son, Dale L. Smith, his daughter, Shelli Romo, and grandsons, Christopher and Keith Romo, all of Grant County, three great grandchildren, a brother David Smith of Abilene, TX., and three sisters Carolyn Green of Colorado Springs, CO., Kathleen Smith of Mesquite, TX., and Andrea Smith of Albuquerque, NM.
