Fidencio Gonzales

Fidencio "Lencho" Gonzales, 81 of Puerto De Luna, NM died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Guadalupe County Hospital in Santa Rosa NM following an illness. He was born April 9, 1930 in Hacienda de la Rueda, San Gabriel, Durango, Mexico to the home of Jesus and Ruperta (Palma) Gonzales. Fidencio worked as a farm and ranch laborer in Corona, NM and Puerto De Luna, NM for many years he made his home in Puerto De Luna in 1990. He was a member of Nuestra Señora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna. He is preceded in death by his wife Encarnacion Bustamante and his parents. Survivors include a brother Jesus Gonzales of Precidio, Mexico and a sister Augustina Gonzales of Juarez, Mexico. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, January 2, 2012 from the Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, NM. Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from Nuestra Señora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna with Father Joseph Thomas officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be Glen Salazar, Jimmy Moncayo, Julian Salazar, Enrique Viesca, Manuel Flores, and Tony Gallegos. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leroy Gallegos, Filomeno Flores, Cecilio Page and Richard Chavez. Burial will follow at El Calvario Cemetery in Puerto De Luna, NM.
