Floyd Lee Davis, age 66, of Santa Rosa, NM passed away on December 14, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. Floyd was born on December 21, 1944 in Carlsbad, NM to the home of Lowell and Berthold (Alcorn) Davis. He served in the Navy from 1964 through 1968 and received the National Defense, Armed Forces Expeditionary, Republic of Viet Nam Campaign, Navy Unit Commendation and the Good Conduct medal. Floyd worked for the U.S. Corp of Engineers for several years. He enjoyed Gardening and playing pool. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Glenn Davis. Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Davis of Santa Rosa, a daughter, Stacy Marquez and husband Ernest of Santa Rosa, grandchildren, Stephanie, Mellisa and Zachary Marquez. Funeral services will he held on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Santa Rosa with Mr. Keith Ross Officiating. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Abel Apodaca, Roy Gonzlaes, Jason Salazar, Eddie Shields, Eddie Salazar, Placido Salazar, Kennedy Marquez and Dean Salazar.
