Eddie J Baca

Eddie J. Baca, age 58, passed away on October 19, 2011 at the Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe following an illness. Eddie was born on April 16, 1953 in Anton Chico, NM to the home of Erlinda Baca. He was reared and attended schools in Anton Chico. He worked construction for many years and was a jack of all trades as a mechanic, working with flagstone and remodeling of homes. In his spare time Eddie love to play cards, travel to different places sightseeing, spending time with his family and hosting barbeques. He is preceded in death by his mother, Erlinda Baca, his step father; Arsencio Sanchez, brother; Esequiel Baca and Santana Baca, and his granddaughter; Gabriella Angel Baca. Survivors include his children; Mario Baca and significant other, Anita Jaramillo, Erlinda Baca and significant other Salomon Martinez, Christopher Baca and significant other Candace Alire all of El Rito and Patrick Villanueva and wife Angelica of Anton Chico, sisters and brother; Melba Baca and significant other Jose Encinias of Anton Chico, Viola Baca and significant other Juan Montoya of Las Vegas, Antonia Madrid and husband Donaciano of Tecolotito, Ernestine Aranda and significant other Adam Anaya of Santa Rosa, and Uvaldo Baca of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are his 11 grandchildren, his special friend Shirley of Tucumcari, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Friday, October 21, at 6:00 PM from San Jose Church in Anton Chico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22, at 11:00 am also from San Jose Church with Father Antonio Mondragon officiating. Burial will follow at the Upper Anton Chico Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Vito Montoya, Adam Sanchez, Santana Baca, Roman Montoya, Salomon Martinez, Matthew Montoya, Miguel Encinias, Joseph Baca and Patrick Aranda. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be; Alex Baca, Stevie Baca, Jonathan Encinias, Randy Lucero and Donaciano Madrid.
