Erineo “Neo” Chavez, age 68, passed away on October 13, 2011 at the St. Anthony’s Healthcare in Clovis. Neo was born March 28, 1943 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Donaciano and Ana (Zamora) Chavez. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Neo worked at the Santa Rosa Chevron for many years as well as at the Santa Rosa Lumber. He enjoyed fishing, Hunting, Arrowhead hunting and wood crafts. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son; Junior Chavez, brothers and sisters; Rose Chavez, Merlinda Lopez, Horacio J. Chavez, Carlos Chavez and Tony Chavez and his nephew; Gene Chavez. Survivors include his sister; Gloria “Lala” Tivis and family from Tucson, AZ, sister in laws; Connie Chavez and family of Santa Rosa, Gloria Chavez and family of Bakersfield, CA Fini Chavez and family of Rio Rancho and a niece, Gloria Jean Chavez and Family of Santa Rosa as well as a numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 9:30 AM from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Mass will follow at 10:00 with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Frank Tenorio, Gerald Anaya, Rocky Montano and Fernie Chavez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be; Anthony Chavez, Rico Tivis and Sammy Chavez. All services for Mr. Chavez have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
