Vivian Grace Finney

Vivian Grace Finney passed away October 7, 2011 in her home. She was born to Ray and Calla (Shaw) Whipple on December 2, 1930 in Alamo, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert Whipple, her sister Jean LaPoint, and a grandson, Josh Bridges. She is survived by her children Mike Melton of Cuervo, NM; Windell and Kathy Bridges of Fort Sumner; John and Julie Bridges of Portales; and daughter Melissa and Gary Cain of Clovis. Also surviving are eight grandchildren Ray Melton, Wendy (Bridges) Williamson, Mike, Chancey, and Kayla Thomson; Ashley, Braeden and Alexa Bridges as well as 9 great-grandchildren. Vivian was a retired nurse and spent her lifetime taking care of others. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from the Fort Sumner Cemetery with Sister Anna Teeter officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren; honorary bearers will be her great-grandchildren Raeanne Williamson, Chase Williamson, Chance Thomson, Noah Thomson, Logan Thomson, Reese Melton, Raynen Melton, D’gin Thomson, and Rylie Duran.
