Gail Burdick, 52 of Logan, NM died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at her home following an illness. She was born September 21, 1952 in San Diego, CA the daughter of Joseph Raymond and Shirley Mae (Graham) Sperry. Gail married Danny Burdick on December 31, 1989 in Clayton, NM. They made their home in Logan, NM where Gail owned and operated Cherish Family Restaurant for 12 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Logan. Gail enjoyed gambling at the Casinos especially her vacations in Laughlin, NV. She loved her family and her grandchildren were "the best thing in her life". She is preceded in death by her mother Shirley Sperry and a niece Jeanette Lynn Wendt on July 24, 1971. Gail was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by her husband Danny Burdick of the family home; a son Tony Nunes and wife Sabra of Tucumcari, NM; her father Joseph Sperry of San Diego, CA; a sister Patty Wendt of Chino Hills, CA; two brothers Bruce Graham of Los Angeles and Chip Sayegh of Las Vegas, NM; three grandchildren Jessica Nunes of Weatherford, TX; Brionna Nunes of Tucumcari, NM; Bailey Nunes of Great Bend, KS; two great-grandchildren Maisah Olivas Elevario and Xavier Anthony Ysco of Tucumcari. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many good friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 29, 2011 at the American Legion, Logan, NM. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial contributions to the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary or the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Logan, NM in memory of Gail Burdick.
