Isidora “Lola” Blea, age 95 of Fort Sumner, NM died Monday, July 25, 2011 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehab Center following an illness. She was born December 24, 1915 in Fort Sumner to the home of Agapito and Martina (Garduno) Garcia. She attended school in Fort Sumner. Isidora married Jose Casimiro Blea in 1937 at Fort Sumner. She was a homemaker and also served as a kitchen helper for St. Anthony Nutrition Center for five years. Lola was a lifelong active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jose Casimiro Blea; long time companion and friend Aurelio Lopez; three sons Nonato Blea, Aurelio Blea, Sequio Blea; four brothers Seferino Garcia, Merejildo Garcia, Leandro Garcia, Agapito Garcia; three sisters Isabel Pacheco, Gregoria Aragon and Bonifacia Garcia. Survivors include two sons Pat Blea of T or C, NM; Martin Blea and wife Rebecca of Amarillo, TX; two daughters Cathy Vigil and husband Tito of Fort Sumner and Rosie Salazar and husband Tommy of Fort Sumner, and a grandson she raised Steve Vigil. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 9 Great-great-grandchildren, a special niece, friend and caretaker Corina Gonzales of Fort Sumner, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, July 28, 2011 with Father Simeon Wimmershoff officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Fernando Lopez, Eric Vigil, Dominic Salazar, Anthony Blea, Derek Blea, and Anthony Sena. Honorary bearers will be all her grandchildren.
