Shirley Pacheco

Shirley L. Pacheco, age 33, passed away on July 10, 2011 at her residence in Tucumcari. Shirley was born on May 6, 1978 in Tucumcari, NM to the home of Albert and Christina (Borquez) Pacheco. She graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1996. After graduation, she attended Highlands University and UNM. Shirley worked for the family business “Pacheco Construction and Trucking and Quay Concrete”. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Catholic Church, BPOE Does 1172 and the District 1 Volunteer Fire Department. She loved her Harley Motorcycle and she also loved kids especially her nieces and nephews. Shirley was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be truly missed by all. Shirley is preceded in death by her brother Albert Jason Pacheco, her maternal grandmother; Lena Borquez, paternal grandfather; Victor Pacheco, Aunts; Grace Madrid, Kathy Borquez, her great grandparents; Mike and Grace Diaz and her great Uncle; Mike Diaz. Survivors include her parents; Albert Pacheco and Christina Pacheco both of Tucumcari, her brother; Josh Pacheco and wife Veronica, sister in law; Mellisa Pacheco, nieces and nephews; A.J., Shianne, Dezmon, Joshua, Niemiah all of Tucumcari and a special friend Melanie Lucero of Arizona. Also surviving are her paternal grandmother; Filomena Pacheco and her maternal grandfather; Raymond Borquez as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rosary services will be held on Friday, July 15, at 7:00 PM from St. Anne’s Church in Tucumcari. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 16, at 10:00 AM also from St. Anne’s Church with Father Hyginus Anuta officiating. Burial will follow at the Tucumcari Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Esperanza Madrid, Sandy Salinas, Miranda, Jennifer Mares, Lisa Ortiz, Candice Zacharias, Melanie Lucero, Tana Aragon and Isiah Borquez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be; Matthew Pacheco, Dominic Pacheco, Jake Jimenez, Andrew Pacheco, Art Pacheco, Jr., and Gilbert Gonzalez, Jr. All services for Shirley have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
