Fay B. Cox, 77, a resident of Ft. Sumner, NM passed away in a Lubbock hospital on Friday, June 3, 2011. Fay was born on April 25, 1934 in Newburg, Missouri to Joseph & Ellen Paul. She grew up and attended school there. She moved to Fort Sumner from Lubbock in 1996. She was a homemaker and loved reading, sewing & jigsaw puzzles. She also loved watching her soap operas on TV. She was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and served as Madam President from 2002-2004. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers, one of whom was Jay Paul of Ft. Sumner. She is survived by two sons – Bobby & Ronnie Capps of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister-in-law – Sandy Paul of Ft. Sumner; nephew & niece – Buddy & Shawn Hall of Ft. Sumner; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was also survived by a special friend, Peg Bishop of Ft. Sumner. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ft. Sumner Cemetery with Buddy Hall officiating. Interment was in the Fort Sumner Cemetery.
