Maria T. Kelly

Maria T. Kelly, 52 of Fort Sumner, NM died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clovis, NM following an illness. She was born January 10, 1958 in Long Beach, CA to the home of James and Marie (Deluchie) Kelly. She moved with her parents across the U.S. with her father's military assignments. She was raised in the Roman Catholic faith. Maria made her home in Clovis, NM in 1993 and Fort Sumner in 2001. She enjoyed reading romance novels and cooking. She is preceded in death by her father, James Kelly. Survivors include her husband Jose Aragon of Fort Sumner; three daughters Amanda Zamora of Fort Sumner; Christina Aragon of Fort Sumner; Joanna Kelly of Lubbock, TX; a son David Aragon of Willard, NM a step son Jose Gonzales of Clovis. Her mother Marie Chapman of Phoenix, AZ also survives along with two sisters Marie Mendoza and Michelle Wilkinson of Phoenix and a brother Lance Kelly of New Mexico. Eight grandchildren also survive along with other family members and friends. Cremation will take place. A Memorial Rosary will be held at 7 pm, Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner, NM. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N.
