Aurora Pabla Elevario

Aurora Elevario, age 87, peacefully passed away on January 1, 2011 with her family at her bedside. Aurora was born August 26, 1923 in Newkirk, NM to the home of Miguel and Francisca (Benavidez) Lopez. She was reared and attended schools in Newkirk. Aurora married Delfido Elevario on May 19, 1947 at St. Rose of Lima Church After the death of her husband, Aurora and her children made their home in Santa Rosa. Aurora was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish where she was involved with the Sacred Heart Society and Las Hijas de Maria. She was a supportive, loving and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and will be remembered for her delicious meals and her homemade bread. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo and her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be truly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters, her husband; Delefido Elevario, daughter; Sylvia Gonzales, son’s; Pat Elevario and Horace Elevario, son in law; Timothy Ulibarri and daughter in law; Jennie Elevario. Survivors include her children; Gloria Martinez and husband Patrick of Santa Rosa, George Elevario and wife Virginia of Albuqueruqe, Albert Elevario and wife Vera of Santa Rosa, Esther Blea of Santa Rosa, Viola Ulibarri of Santa Rosa, Monica Urban and husband Gerald of Pampa, TX. Also surviving are her sisters; Dolores Chacon of Santa Rosa, Dorothy Zamora of Albuquerque and her brother; Jose D. Lopez of Santa Rosa, 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren 4 great-great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be conducted on Monday, January 3, at 7:00 from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 4, at 11:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Ricky Blea, Manuel Martinez, Felicia Muniz, Jennifer De-Bord, Travis Ulibarri, David Gonzales, Fabian Elevario and Albert D. Elevario. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be the rest of her grandchildren.
